Career & Work

Studied Photography & Film at Edinburgh Napier University (BA Hons). Marcin first came to attention with his 2010 documentary project about his hometown Łódź, Poland and his projects in Ukraine in 2012 also published as a book titled Moloch. His other documentary projects were focused on transforming landscapes in such places as Albania and Central Asia. He often mixes landscape photography with portraiture and experimental techniques.

He currently works as a Photographer & Photo Librarian at the National Trust for Scotland.

• BA Honours dissertation: “Deadpan photography; an expressive genre and an invitation to the discussion. A call for new definition”, supervised by Dr Louise Milne. Edinburgh, 2012. Mark: 1st Class (77%) 

• Founded and managed an online photography magazine: Netherworld (2010-2013) 

• Łódź, 2010;  available at the National Library of Scotland in Edinburgh
